How To Build "3D Delts":

----------------------------------------------------------

Video Summary:
How To Look Bigger In Clothes

What's one of the biggest challenges of being a natural bodybuilding trainee who stays relatively lean year round?

It's the fact that you'll look very impressive when shirtless or in a tank top, but then have a good portion of that visible muscularity "disappear" once a shirt goes on over top.

Here are some tips you can use to help you look bigger in a shirt (and more muscular in clothes in general) related to proper training and overall style...

The first tip to look bigger in clothes is to ensure that your delts and upper back are fully developed.

Every muscle group on the body is of course important to build up, but these are the two main muscle groups that will have the biggest impact on making you look more jacked in clothes.

For the delts you'll want to specifically focus on the lateral and posterior heads (lateral raises, face pulls and rear lateral raises are all great movements for this) and for the upper back, exercises like shrugs, rack pulls and rows will do the trick.

Another often overlooked area is the neck, which can also cause you to appear bigger in a shirt yet is an area most trainees neglect. Aside from shrugs and rack pulls (which train the levator scapulae muscles and will increase overall neck size) you can also perform neck curls and neck extensions as well.

Building up your arms is also quite important, in particular the long head of the triceps which can be hit using overhead extension movements.

The second tip to look bigger in a shirt is to buy properly fitted clothes, which seems very obvious yet is something that many guys miss the boat on.

Make sure your shirts fit snugly (but not too tight) and that the sleeves cut off just below your delts but keep your biceps and triceps visible.

Also look for shirts that are tighter around the waist (rather than loose and baggy) as this accentuates the "v-taper" look, and ideally avoid dressing in black as this will cause you to appear a bit smaller.

Lastly, an often overlooked tip to look more muscular in clothes is to maintain proper posture.

Don't go over the top with this, but keeping your chest up, shoulders back and head in a neutral position will maximize your appearance and overall perceived muscularity.

Along with proper overall bodybuilding training and nutrition, utilizing the tips above will help you look bigger in a shirt and more muscular in clothes in general.

The trick is to try to look big without people noticing that you’re trying. Once they notice, it’s game over.

The power of short sleeves is amazing, even with arms that aren't great. Long sleeves make me look really skinny. I always bought baggy clothes but since I get ones that fit snug now with shorter sleeves my physique looks so much better and boosts confidence too. You wear the clothes, don't let the clothes wear you.

Hiding your physique in a shirt versus the surprise without the shirt makes for a great contrast and exercises modesty.

I pay special attention to my forearms because it is the skin that you get to show most after your face. Even at work in a dress shirt, you can lift your sleeves half way. And everyone notices and admires a pair of strong, well defined, vascular forearms even if unconsciously. Popeye all the way!!!

Just do neutral pull ups, great for lats, biceps and forearms. Overhead press very good for shoulders, upper chest and long head of triceps. Add some front carries or face pulls for traps.

For anyone coming across this video long after it's published, a tip that I have is to get your clothes tailored. It's not super expensive either. You certainly will look fit and bigger with clothing that fits your new body, and, your clothes will look much more expensive. Off the rack clothing doesn't fit everyone the same way, so do yourself justice and get them tailored; you can make a low-cost dress shirt look expensive because it will fit your muscle build. I've been doing this for years, especially after my body transformation to a more muscular/athletic look. I went as far as buying a sewing machine to "tailor" simple things like long-sleeved shirts. It's an amazing simple thing to do if you're not trying to be a real tailor. Some things I still have to take to the professionals.

I look freaking massive in medium. But people say it’s too tight. So I wear large. Now ppl don’t complement me as much :(

One thing I've noticed (and I used to be guilty of this myself) is that very skinny people often wear t-shirts that are too baggy for them, I think in order to hide how skinny they are. However I think this has the opposite effect and just draws attention to it or at least makes it more obvious, and they would be better off wearing something with a better fit - not sure what you think?
