Kyosho MP9E Brushless Electric Buggy (Official Video)

Показать описание
The MP9E features many of the same drivetrain and suspension components as the renowned MP9 nitro buggy, so it's well equipped to handle the big torque and high speeds of brushless electric power. Key elements of the chassis, however, are modified or redesigned to make the MP9E ideally suited for brushless electric power. The drivetrain features chrome-moly universal driveshafts and ring and pinion gears, all of which is supported by high-quality Japanese NMB precision bearings.

The MP9E features a new chassis made from 7075 T6 aluminum with a black anodized finish. Additionally, elements of the radio and battery tray plug all but one of the openings in the bottom of the chassis plate. A single slot remains in the chassis for spur gear clearance. This allows the differential to remain as low as possible to minimize the center of gravity.

A newly designed motor mount allows quick removal and installation of any popular 1/8 brushless motor. Additionally, the motor mount is designed to permit adjustment by loosening two screws from the top of the chassis. It's not necessary to loosen any screws from the bottom of the chassis to adjust the gear mesh. A combination ESC and battery tray features a large area for mounting the big speed controls that are common in the 1/8 brushless category. The wires for the ESC are routed between the battery tray and the chassis plated through a secure channel, which will ensure that the wires don't become entangled in the drivetrain, and it will prevent chafing of the wires. The battery tray an be configured to accept 2S to 4S LiPo packs in a laydown configuration, or two 2S packs in a staggered vertical configuration. The staggered arrangement exposes the connectors for packs that use bullet-style connectors in the battery housing.

The shock towers are machined 7075-T6 aluminum and feature a distinctive gunmetal anodized finish. The rear shock tower is medium height and is accompanied by medium length rear shocks and springs. An option on the MP9 TKI, these are standard on the MP9E. The shorter shocks and springs have stronger roll resistance, so the car remains flatter and more responsive in the corners. Distinctive orange color suspension bushings are included, which allow extensive adjustment of the suspension to suit any racing conditions anywhere on the planet. The steering knuckles and the suspension mounts also feature aluminum construction and a black anodized finish.

Lastly, the kit includes a distinctive new body that is designed to clear the batteries, and it includes wents front and rear to allow cooling air to flow over the motor, batteries and ESC.

The Kyosho Inferno line is the most successful in the history of RC racing. It has captured 7 IFMAR World Championship titles, which is far greater than the next closest competitor - in fact more than all other manufacturers combined. Like the MP9, the MP9E is built as a "cost-no-object" competition machine that requires no optional parts to compete at the World Championship level. It's design, as well as the metals and other construction materials, is the result of decades of design experience and unparalleled racing success. It's the kind of experience that money can't buy, which is what separates it from all the cars made my companies with little or no racing experience. There simply is no equal in the World.

This is based on the current MP9, where the Race Spec is MP7.5 based. They are both World Champions, but the Race Spec is a ready-to-run that is made to be much less expensive. The VE is a good car that's durable and runs well on a racetrack, and still guts out some pretty tough bashing. The never MP9 is lighter and more refined to optimize it for just racing, and it's quite a bit more expensive.

The first track is "We Are Loud" from Dynamedion and the second is "Roaring" from Pierre Gerwig Langer. They're both "Royalty free clips that probably won't be easy to find.

The third song is called "Bulldozed" also from Pierre Gerwig Langer.

The VE is a Ready to Run buggy that is completely assembled with radio, servos, motor, speed controller, and even a painted body. The MP9e is a more sophisticated, high-end race car that comes in a kit without the running gear. So, you need to assemble it, then purchase or swap your own running gear into it.

@G0left In race trim, it runs about 45-50 mph, which gives it a good balance of acceleration and top speed for the best possible lap times. Geared for speed, the potential is upwards of 70-100 mph.

@G0left
Set-up for closed-course racing, this will run in the 45-50 mph range. With batteries, motor and gearing intended for speed, the potential is in excess of 100 mph.

@RCBuggy100

It's a kit. You can also convert a roller to brushless with the conversion kit, and then you have both nitro and electric.

@CMACdaDJ

It's running Team Orion 5400 45C batteries, and it's running a 15T pinion gear on a Tekin R8 1900Kv motor.

@1521joe

It's an excellent machine. The GP version is the current World Champion.

@playlife44

@ 100 mph, or somewhere around there. If all you want is speed, then be sure to get the right motor and battery combo and 100 mph isn't too difficult. Of course that wouldn't be the best use of this car, because it's made for off-road competition, but that's up to you.

Plenty fast enough. It's suitable for any level of competition. I practically jumped out of the entire track when I finally pinned the throttle. The rest of the video the car never saw full throttle.

As an example, A Main Hobbies sells it for $799.
