How to Reset, Export and Import Windows Firewall Settings

Just a quick video on how to reset, export and import firewall settings in windows 10, this will also work in Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1 and Windows Server 2008 ww will be using command prompt in this video tutorial.

Here are some commands,

2. netsh advfirewall reset

that's it, you have just backed up your firewall settings, reset the windows firewall and then imported your firewall settings back in windows 10.

Hi Brian... I am having a problem with Skype... I cannot communicate (send or receive) with chat groups, even those of my own creation. I know a lot of others have been in the same boat so could you possibly do a video on the subject... I am sure it would be well received as anything else I can find out there is ambiguous at best... Many thanks for all your great videos and help...

First, you need to expand Control Panel on your screen and make its
icons view either in small or large and click Windows Firewall.

Windows Firewall window will become visible on the screen. Click Advanced Settings
If a User Account Control (UAC) prompts up, respond to it positively by clicking Yes.Click the Action option on the menu bar.Click on the Export Policy option from the sub-menu.
Navigate the location where you want to store the backup of Windows Firewall Settings.Give a name and save it in the .wfw file type. (***like: firewall.wfw)
