How To Make Pumpkin Buns - Without Egg - No Oven

Hi everyone...today I'm sharing how to make pumpkin buns without egg and no oven. This bun recipe is flexible, can be make in a pan, in the oven or steaming method. I tried all and they turns out soft and fluffy. I use cheese as filling but feel free to use anything, savory or sweet fillings. I hope you like it :)

NOTE for my measurements :
1 cup all-purpose flour = 125 grams
1 cup milk/water = 250 ml
I use a digital scale. If you are using a digital scale, please make sure that your batteries are full/new or use an electric digital scale. Old batteries cause measurements inaccurate.
No-Oven Pumpkin Buns
Makes 8 pieces
1 tsp (3g) active dry yeast
2 tbsp (25g) fine sugar
1/2 cup (125ml) warm milk
1 cup (225g) mashed cooked pumpkin
3 tbsp (42g) butter, melted
2-1/2 cups (312g) all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp butter for cooking
Extra flour to handle the dough
Little oil to drizzle the dough
Fillings : savory or sweets according to your preference
I used Mozzarella.
The dough is soft and sticky, you need extra flour to handle it or oil on your hands.
The cheese melting while the buns still hot warm, after cold or room temperature, the cheese will not melt or stretchy anymore.
You might need to reheat before serving.
I tried steaming method with chicken vegetables as filling and it was awesome!

Note for methods :
1. Non-stick pan + lid :
-After shaping, cook directly.
-Melt 1 tsp butter in the pan. Cook the buns 10 minutes per side.
Until all puffy and soft, both side golden brown and the cheese melting.
2.Oven/baking :
-after shaping, cover for 30 minutes.
-Egg wash before baking and bake at 170°C (340°F) for 20 - 25 minutes.
-Using 170°C, the final product looks yellow with little brown dots on top.
-If you want to be golden brown, bake at 180°C (350°F) same time baking.
3.Steaming :
-After shaping, cover 30 minutes.
-Steam over high heat, the water rolling boil (100°C or 212°F)
steam for 20 minutes.
