Lecture delivered by H.E. Erik Solheim, Former Executive Director of the UN Environment Programme and Norway’s Minister of the Environment and International Development.

Global warming and climate change are increasingly threatening ecosystems, society, economies, and polities. International and regional organisations like the United Nations, ASEAN, the EU and countries like India and China aim towards low-carbon, sustainable economies, and cleaner technologies. There is a regional and global need for green investments and innovations to increase the supply of energy and decrease the cost of low-carbon technologies. How do EU-Asia relations contribute to global development and the environment?
