Awesome Video Syd! miss the old style of tv seasons having more than 6-8 episode series. I remembered there used to be at least 15-24 per season and now a tv show season flew by so fast it’s insane.

I actually found this one to be my fave episode so far! I loved getting some backstory into the two Harkonnen sisters - I actually feel like I have a vested interest in their story/journey now, which I didn't really care for in the first two episodes

I kinda wish this was the first episode cause at least there was character progression.

Yeah, I couldn't agree more. it was a prequel to a prequel to a prequel. Apart from that, i was surprised that the breeding program was managed by thinking machine.

For the voice thing: Valya's parents sending her to the Sisterhood, considering that she has the voice beforehand....PROBABLY wasn't smart, considering the near murder of her mother, lol.

If anything, the flashback has me more excited for Tabu to appear, since we saw her younger character, Francesca, with young Valya.

4:07 The show likely had Valya use the voice on Raquella to justify Raquella entrusting her more and elevating her to be a successor. Raquella clearly views the voice as a very valuable evolutionary trait that could be incorperated into the sisterhood through breeding or training.

Everyone has two grandmothers. We know Dorothea is one of Lila's Grandmothers. Perhaps Tola is Lila's other grandmother. The flashbacks thus tie in to Lila's origins because that's how either her mother or father were conceived.

I really loved young Tula acting, however I'm still trying to understating what story this show is trying to tell.

I really liked it. The young leads were fantastic in their roles. I agree with you, I didnt think Tula had it in her... which was great when it dawned on me what had happened.

Completely disagree: this was my FAVORITE episode. Really gives some amazing history on the Dune/Atreides vendetta.

I know people don't like the Brian Herbert books but the way this series leans into them is fantastic... it was good material all along I've always thought so.

I thought it was the best yet funnily enough lol

So ynez is how old. Sword guy is way older. Pedie most. I mean is she really going to be trained to be a truth seer at 18 or 25. We see that all the sisterhood is children. Same thing with tula sex scene in ep3. Tula was 16 at most. Why am I the only 1 that noticed this

I agree 100%. This was my least favorite episode.

I agree in that this is weakest episode so far, for me my favorite characters are Tula and Desmond Hart and when you limit most the episode to Young Tula and no Desmond it really loses a lot of steam for me.
I think this is rushed and some of this moments could have been really important and impactful sequences but we didn’t get any of that
