The Rover Is From The Future.. Here's Why | Wuthering Waves Lore

One of the biggest mysteries in wuthering waves is related to the origins of the rover. Where are they from, who are they really and why did they suddenly appear. Some claim the rover is from the past while others claim they have always been there. Well I think that there is evidence to that the rover is actually from the future and in this video I am going to explain why

Some part of this video comes from the actual lore while others may be speculation on my part as we currently do not know the full story. As such take it with a grain of salt as the point of this video is just a deeper dive into Wuthering Waves lore.

1.1 Confirms Rover is the hero from the past

In the CBT1, there was a memory scene where the rover was wearing an advanced suit fighting in the moon... maybe kuro didn't completely abandoned the Idea.

Aalto directly says that Rover was with Black Shores the last time they appeared, though whether they're the founder is a separate possibility. Aalto says he's only a consultant, so he might not know that kind of detail either way.

One thing that I find interesting is that the actual Threnodian appears as a giant purple eyeball with the star shape for a pupil. And the thing behind the hologram lady also has the same kind of "pupil." So if anything, I wonder if that's the far future evolved form of the Threnodian or if she like... merged with it and became a "good" Threnodian but too late to save the world...

In any case, Rover being a timetraveler trying to change or preserve the past really lines up with all the past/present themes in practically every storyline, so I can see that being the case. There are just so many cases of people who want to change the past in some way that it would really make sense.

well, from 1.1 main quest it is now confirmed that rover is from the past, they used to be the master of the sentient, who knows maybe the master of all the sentinels. Which begs the question, how extremely powerful the rover was and who are they with such incredible power?

To me that Rover seems to be possibly from the world of PGR. And the person that PGR players refer to as Commandant or Commander. Because the goddess who sends Rover to SOL 3 is the embodiment of a character by the name is Lucia.

I think this idea (or something adjacent to it) is probably correct. Time travel accounts for a lot of what you mentioned about Rover, and I think it could even possibly explain their amnesia. What if the opening cutscene takes place outside of time as we know it and is the Rover's point of "origin", and each time they enter the time stream it's functionally the first time they have entered Solaris 3? The retroact rain seems to relate to memory as much as it does time, which suggests to me that memory (at least in the context of WuWa) may be more situational than we typically think of it. Rover only starts to remember things when they are in the context of when they would be relevant. This allows for Rover to have done this many times before and yet not have knowledge that would give them undue advantage.
As an aside, I suspect that the events of the past are actually late/end game content. This would account for how Rover is renowned as a world-shaking badass in the past but is at a "starter character" power level at the start of the game. Flashes of memory from the past would then be from prior attempts to make things right.
