Tiramisu is my all time favorite Italian dessert, but between you and me, I actually kinda hate making it. You need like 100 bowls just to make the cream and basically non stop whisking. And sometimes I wanna eat tiramisu right away. So I stripped tiramisu down to its bare bones and developed the laziest, easiest way to make good tiramisu fast.

As an italian, what I enjoy about your approach to italian recipes is the respect you show. You do your homework, you study how it should be done, and when you make any change you explain why. It's usually a very sensible reason.

Jacques Pépin’s method is even simpler: mascarpone, sour cream, sugar, vanilla. Lady fingers dipped in very strong coffee. Honestly, I prefer it to the authentic version.

I gotta be honest, I quit making tiramisu because of the reasons you mentioned. As an Italian, I am definitely making this to get back in the game. Thanks for all you do! BTW, I make a lot of your recipes and the family loves it!

You could cut one more bowl out by simply adding the cream to the marscapone mixture and whipping! It sounds crazy but after a while, it will whip to peaks

I'm Italian and learned to make Tiramisu from my mamma. This looks great. The only suggestion I would make is to ditch the Kahlua and replace it with grappa. Definitely going to try this.

I have an egg allergy. I can eat eat eggs if there is no more than 2 eggs in the batter or dough and baked. I make pudding the old fashioned way- without eggs. (Custard is the one with eggs, but nor according to today's versions.) Tiramisu without eggs is perfect for someone like me. Doubling over in pain from the eggs ruins a great dessert. Thank you!

I'm pretty sure most Italians won't mind that much that you skipped the egg part but they will definitely hate you for the fact that you put French biscuits onto your tiramisu as a topping.
