Who invented paper first

The invention of paper is attributed to the ancient Chinese. The traditional account of paper's invention is that it was created by Cai Lun (also spelled Tsai Lun or T'sai Lun) during the Eastern Han Dynasty in China, around the year 105 AD.

Cai Lun was a eunuch and an official in the imperial court. He is said to have combined mulberry fibers, hemp waste, old fishnets, and other materials to create a pulp, which was then pressed and dried to form sheets of paper. This early form of papermaking revolutionized communication and information dissemination, as it provided a more convenient and portable alternative to other writing materials like bamboo strips, wooden tablets, or silk.
