1st break in and Dyno was with a Summit 600 carb and it worked well, with 463.1hp(5100) 550.1 tq(3800) and 451tq(2500)
Changed to Holley Sniper and results were 472.5 hp(4800) 554.9 tq(4000) and 478.5tq(2500) The Dyno test was conducted at Gaines Performance on Superflo Dyno, in Checotah, Oklahoma. Brian Gaines was excellent and is a awesome tuner. This was money well spent for actual results and insurance that the motor is 100% before install.

I built this engine for a 1985 Chevy 4x4. I wanted a daily driver engine with longevity and torque being my priority. I could’ve made more hp with a few changes but this is exactly what I hoped for, as I took almost 2 years researching combos, to get to this point.
I hope you enjoy.

what type of roller lifters did you install? i wanted to use the tie bar lifters but i cannot get info on the life span or mileage that they would last without tie bar failure on a daily driver.
