European Badger: Well educated, drink tea, invite you in for cookies, has a lovely garden.
American Badger: Bites off your leg, screams loudly, steals a motorcycle.

A mat of hedgehog spines with no hedgehog in it is oddly terrifying.
Imagine finding a human scalp and hair in the street with no human around.

One of the high points of my life here in Vienna was seeing a badger waddling calmly about its business on a city street at 2 AM.

Could you do animal of the week video about the Saimaa ringed seal. They only live in one lake in Finland and there are only about 300 of them left. They are threatened by the warming climate since they need large piles of snow to make their dens/nests into.

Wow an animal I've seen in real life, that's a first for this series...

Badgers, my spiritaminal!
You forgot to tell that they can share dens with foxes! Hence their common friendships in stories.

Btw, can you do a video about the gold jackals? Heard they’re growing in Europe.

You forgot to add that the European Badger has a 95% chance of wanting to steal your mashed potatoes.

There's a badger that lives near where I work. It is rarely seen but sometimes comes foraging around the courtyard which my office faces.

I live in Romania, and here we call the badger, "viezure", word that comes from "vizuină" which means burrow.

Badgers are the largest land predator in the UK and American badgers look more like wolverines than badgers

I had heard about U.K. farmers disliking badgers because of the bovine TB issue. Funny that they eat hedgehogs... In NZ hedgehogs (and possums - both introduced species) are known to carry bovine TB. So it seems to me that the hedgehog vector is left wide open when the badgers are culled.

How about we finally get the saiga antelope as the animal of the week? It's earned it.

In the Redwall series by Brian Jacques, badgers can be rather amiable, but when they need to be they can be quite remarkable tough-as-nails badasses, even their females, like Constance, can be very badass.

I have seen them in the urban wild only a few times, all in the very early morning & it is a fantastic thing to witness! We must protect badgers in our urban (and wild) areas! If you want to see them you need to keep your eye-out at about 3 - 6 am in the morning but it's worth it!
