I've been a fan of KoL since their first album but I believe they changed their sound to gain a larger audience. They clearly moved towards stadium rock & a much bigger, more mainstream sound. But there is nothing wrong with that - they still write great music & that's all that should matter. I have nothing against their ambition. As an Australian - I really like their Southern sound & influences. It's their heritage.

I’m in Louisville, KY. The first time I heard you guys was on the public radio station that I still frequently listen to… At the time that I was listening to this, there were few apps..
In any case, I heard you on 91.9 WFPK and you were playing On Call.
It was a really strange time and technology from how we were shifting from watching MTV and listening to things were happening on MTV and also relying on public radio to tell us where to go. If you did not enjoy the mainstream music… And that’s what you were to me. Beautiful. Like nothing that I had ever heard from mainstream radio. I still feel that way to this day and I’m circling all the way back to 2007… I’ve seen you in a concert four times since then and you guys never get out to me. You continue to evolve..and yet some of my all-time favorite songs (not just KIL songs….my all time favorite albums come from the 60s 70s and 80s, a few in the 90s, a few in the 2000s, and a few in the 2000 1020s…

I like this band. A lot. I've enjoyed all of their albums, but the first 2 are definitely their best. The 3rd isn't far off them, the new one is really good and their last one (When You See Yourself) was excellent ❤🤘🏻🔥 Oh, and I just finally seen them live in Manchester a few hours ago (July 10th 2024) and they were absolutely brilliant ❤

I honestly don’t understand people not liking their “newer” music.. they have a common thread through all of it. Genuine and really good sounds. Cant wait to see them live for the 4th time 😍
