I love the up-tempo arrangement of this Otis Redding cover, released after his passing in 1968. The original as well as another soulful cover by Mitch Ryder, were slower and more measured, but letting Clydie loose and turning up the tempo make this rendition more powerful and dynamic. This was the from Clydie's first solo album of the same name, produced by Gabriel Mekler for his Lizard label.
