The second he introduced himself as SHERIFF BREAKER I had a big, dumb grin on my face. Alan Wake 2 is my favorite game of this year and maybe several. I need to know Tim gets out of the Dark Place.

The door with the "DOORS" symbol on it is room 103 in the Oceanview hotel, and in the Elderwood Lodge, room 103 is the door that an NPC continuously knocks on throughout the game, eventually pounding and slamming into it near the end. And if I remember correctly, you could hear knocking from outside one of the Oceanview Motel doors in Control.

Now whenever I play a Remedy game I get caught up in the lore and I want to replay the older Remedy games. I'm trapped in a Remedy loop.

The consistency in the RCU lore and the confidence to include story elements for games that weren't even released yet shows how much faith they have in themselves to tell a great story. Bravo Remedy, I tip my hat to you.

One thing I love about the Oceanview Hotel is its address: 3 Cord St. It's just three pulls on the light cord away.

Also this is probably more along the lines of "easter egg" than "lore" but one of the security computers at the Valhalla nursing home is operated by "Marshall Security: Control & Beyond." The logo is a white pyramid on a red background.

the connections are genuinely mind boggling. ive heard its hard enough to make a video game in general, let alone one that is fun to play. the fact remedy does both, while connecting game after game after game is next level

Oh my god, that Dylan call is so sad. He's so scared in his coma. He's not just peacefully sleeping. My heart.

Late Goodbye by Poets of the Fall from Max Payne 2 foreshadows the events of Bright Falls - the official prequel movie for Alan Wake. The song is first heard in MP2 whistled by a janitor wearing headphones. The song's official music video features a middle-of-nowhere motel and the band can be seen performing inside, with some truly ghastly orange wallpaper. This exact same wallpaper is found inside the Oceanview Hotel in Alan Wake 2.

I love how you recreated the visual style and font of the chapter titles from AW2 for your on screen text headings for each section of this video. Nice job with the video overall, but that was a particularly nice touch!

About the White Triangle: I think it's OUR reality.

Dylan implies not only that he knows that he is in a game, but that there is a specific reality in which they are a game or are experienced through a game.

I would connect this to the White Triangle door not only because it's the only one we don't know anything about, but also because the Koskella Book Club having the same triangle could be a reference to that (the book club = a place where people read and discuss books/stories = our world)

I know it's more obvious but Tim's board mentioning a red headed woman while he talked about dreaming of other realities involving him made me squeal. Good on Shawn Ashmore for coming back. Also, Tim Breaker just said Sarah "Joined the Feds." I bet she's in Control 2. Her father was FBC after all. Alice and Barry both have Blessing stuff tied to them (Alice's boxes and Barry's email though I know you mentioned you weren't going to talk about them) but honestly some of the stuff involving Alex Casey is what's most mysterious to me. Casey feels like the center of the spiral. There is FBI!Casey, Book!Casey, Dark Place!Casey, Film (hollywood)!Casey and Film(Zane)! Casey. On some level I worry it's Sam Lake doing some ego stroking, related but separate... is this all Max Payne's dying dream?

Remedy's world building is just legendary. It's so deep and interwoven that it's impossible to recognize everything at just a first glance, but delving deep into it, again and again, is like a bottomless well of rewards for those - like yourself - who engage in it and share it. Cheers and thanks for all the videos!

Something I can't get out of my head is if you take Martin Hatch, flip the M and uncross the t you get Warlin Hatch, look for a synonym for hatch, Door and get Warlin Door. On top of the memorial for Lance Reddick, Brett Madden and Sami Vanhatalo really gave me a feeling like we would have seen them again in the game

I've not seen anyone mention this yet, (maybe because of the final draft dlc? or maybe nobody noticed) The owl in Alan's writers room shifts its head to wherever Alan stands, just as soon as you move the owl out of sight by your camera. Also in one of the videos by Alice wake, i think part 2-2, she is wearing an Owl themed shirt

Also when jesse goes to see Dylan he tells her about dreams he had, specificaly about how he had dreams of a "Detective on a story but in another one the detective was real" and that "there was a man with the same faces but they where in deiferent places" wich means he saw the events of Alan Wake 2 and Quantum break, also i think he also mentions Mr Doors

My headcanon’s always been that the white pyramid would be a symbol for Paracriminal Organizations like Blessed, power without limit, chaos, that sorta thing. But if that, uh, copyright symbol is Control 2, yeah, no clue.

Also, had no idea about that lost Dylan dream and it’s terrifying, I think cuz we know most of his dreams are legit.

I love this channel. And I love Alan Wake 2 gave us a Tim(e) Breaker that interacts with Martin Hatch’s alter ego Warlin Door, and has dreams of Dr. Darling in his Hedron form, and Jesse trying to get him out, but then Tim seeing an alternate universe versiom of Jesse, Beth Wilder. The game connects Quantum Break in creative ways to the Remedyverse and I am all for it because I love all of Remedy’s Sam Lake stories.

In regards to the 'sun' that Dylan saw in his dream: He initially thinks it might be Jesse, but quickly realises it isn't her. Based on one of the scenes in Control, near the climax, could that description fit Polaris?
