The album “Amerikabåten” (“The American boat”, in English),
is an exploration of my deep love and fascination for the
mesmerizing and somewhat strange and curios American culture.
Additionally, it delves into the stories of the Norwegians
who emigrated to America and the resulting connections that
influenced the culture along the Norwegian coastline where I
grew up. I’ve heard stories of distant relatives who traveled
over and never came back. In many ways I’ve felt a kind of
American presence throughout my life.

I would like to extend my gratitude to the exceptionally
skilled musicians who lent their talents to this album.
I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to
everyone at Hubro Records for releasing it on my favorite
record label. Last but not least, I would like to extend a
huge thank you to the amazing photographer Rune Johansen
for generously granting me permission to use the photograph
titled “Svolder” from his book “Så lenge det vara” as the
album cover.
