Your dad makes an amazing point when saying his excitement went from 100 to 10 during the ride. At the start he was a little nervous but in the end, you're just having a conversation not even thinking about driving or traffic. Amazing.

Incredible technology I wish my grandmother was here to see this. She loved the future but she was afraid to drive. She would have appreciated this on another level. Thanks for your videos 🙌🏼

I love FSD, and use it everywhere I go. Yes, it's not cheap. But the amount of sanity you gain in the dense urban and suburban areas without having to lose your mind, is a breath of fresh air. You can watch the road and the traffic around you, but focus on supervising the car, instead of just focusing on the road ahead. So then the driver becomes the copilot for the car, and you add assistance where needed, making the experience even better. Yes, like anyone who has and used FSD, it will make mistakes. But that's what more learning will fix. And just like us as teenagers learning to drive, we made lots of mistakes ourselves, and have gotten a lot better over the years. Same for FSD. Let's keep helping it learn, and it'll then be able to return the favor and help everyone, and become a reliable means of transportation for those that have disabilities.

Dad is talking in concepts while Omar is a literalist. My wife and I are like that and it is often frustrating.

The dad is pretty updated on the matter... I mean, most dads would just shut up and listen but not him... He's got opinions and they're right almost every time he says them for that matter!!! LOVE IT... 🧡

Omar, you have an amazing dad; treasure these memories. FSD 12.5.3.1 still has issues with hairpin turns and narrow canyon roads I tested - it typically drives way too slow, holding up traffic (like 12mph in a 25mph zone). On the upside, I’d rather it be safe than take unnecessary risk.

I never would have imagined I could watch videos of other people doing basic drives in their own cars

But you & Chuck Cook make it incredibly interesting

lol I love how at 3:55 your dad says that he would turn on his blinker to let people know you want to move over into the fast lane saying someone may slow down to let you in. In NYC it’s the opposite. You leave your blinker off otherwise people will speed up to purposely block you out.

I was at LAX on Saturday but didn’t have the guts to try FSD in the terminal area.
Love the Dad episodes

Despite the incredible capabilities of FSD I’m just here for the car conversation between Omar and his dad

It's incredible. I test drove the Model 3, and they just so happened to release FSD 12.5.1 3 days before. I asked it to drive me to my home, and it took me 20 minutes and across a state line. No hands from end to end. It blew my mind! I proclaimed 'It's HERE! FSD is here!' Just absolutely incredible to experience first-hand. Put in my order another test drive and a couple weeks later. $33, 900 and 1.99%APR. I couldn't pass it up even though I swore I'd never buy new. With a car totalled from hail giving a payout of $13.5k, and the car still selling for another $10k, I could just pay cash. But going financing route so I can sell my car after getting the Tesla and waiting a few weeks in case it needs to go back to the service center. Then just pay off the loan after selling the car. $16k (including delivery, taxes, and registration) out of pocket to upgrade from a '15 v6 Accord to a '24 Model 3 just seemed like too good of an opportunity to pass up.

He had zero interventions, but at 7:44 he reached up to the steering wheel because the bus on his right was nearly touching the hash marks between the lanes. Amazing video! I would feel comfortable in this current version, if I ever had the chance to experience it. Way to go Tesla.

That's a quite impressive, he handled all this traffic jam. It worked perfectly well and you can appreciate all the view around you. I think this will only get better throughout the time.
