I’ve lived in California my whole life, and without a doubt, we have one of the worst governors imaginable. I’m truly ashamed of this so-called “leader.” With the immense budget mismanagement, it’s clear that the decisions made have cost us dearly—almost half of Los Angeles is feeling the effects. This kind of irresponsibility deserves accountability, and I firmly believe consequences should follow.

As a Californian thank you for actually acknowledging the gravity of the situation here and not just saying "California bad" "Bad Commifornia" "California doodoo". I have mutuals and friends that have been like this dispite the actual danger presented and I just have to ask what the fuck is wrong with them? People are dying and homes are being destroyed and all they can think about is some stupid political garbage and say "well too bad for commies". I'm personally affected by the fires since I am a Californian, and also have family in LA. I'm also very pissed off at the people who are saying this is "karma" due to the state being associated with the Democratic party (though I'm in the middle when it comes to politics). Because of that, I'm very disappointed since I see people caring for their own party than their fellow American citizens who have lost not only their homes but their lives too.

Both the governor and mayor should be thrown in jail for this. Charged with murder considering they cut the budget so badly and they're having a hard time keeping up.

My dad's workplace burned down in the fire. His work truck, his yard, everything turned into ash. He works for the beach right next to the Pacific Palisades and didn't expect it to catch on fire. I couldn't imagine getting your house affected by this, that sounds like a whole new level of distress. Bless all those affected.
