This is why Toyota didn't lose billions when people decided they didn't want to buy EVs well done good leadership.

I am leasing a Tesla Model Y. I am not impressed with the range and insurance that comes with the EV. Yes I save gas but my insurance went up $250/month. Lease is up this July, I will be buying a new Toyota.

The EV industry slit their own throats when they greedily made replacement batteries cost as much or more than the vehicle itself.

As someone who works for Lexus I can see our customer almost never wanting ev's only hybrids. We can even give out ev rz450 away no one wants them

It's crazy that a private company is listening to the people better than the government.

The thing is that Toyota is not saying they aren’t gonna develop EVs down the line. They are obviously doing R&d for them already and have been for sometime. They are just saying it doesn’t make sense right now to go all in and spend huge amounts of money on ev development when people aren’t buying them due to the kinks and issues with EVs that still need to be worked out. critics are acting like Toyota is anti EV😂 really they are just being very smart about it!

Politics cannot change the Chemistry and Physics related to EV.

Geopolitics in the world today paints a scary picture for companies that went all in on BEVs

When everyone blasts Toyota for being too “conservative” yet anyone who takes a split second to actually think would agree. And well, yet again they are right.

I’m so glad Toyota has finally seen the writing in the wall. US pollution regulations changed based on the political party in power.

Totally support Toyota's decision!

He is absolutely right..!! EVs more than likely will take dominance in the future, but it isnt something a government can just snap their fingers and expect all the car corporations to just make happen. It takes billions on top of billions of dollars to research, test, develop, retest, redevolp, and finally produce these vehicles. Over a slow gradual time it will happen when the technology is ready. As of now.... It isnt.

Toyotas approach to new technology is very sensible. The question I have is how much is a 4 or 8 year old EV going to be worth?

If electric is the way, why aren't government agencies and state going full electric on their buildings? Because its too expensive and ineffective short/long term. Nuclear for energy, ICE + Hybrid is the way

Toyota will be proven correct. It’ll be stupid of people to still argue against Toyota when Toyota has proven themselves time and time correct. Good for Toyota.💪👍🥳

Alberta gvt is now charging 200 bucks extra to register an EV.

I work for Toyota I have for like almost 20 years. They’re pushing hybrid because that’s what they have available right now. But 25 26 They’ll definitely be in the EV game. we’re adopting the Tesla supercharger that should tell you they don’t think it’s a waste they just don’t really have anything super Ev like every other brand

If you live in a hot or cold climate and use your AC a lot or live in hilly terrain, forget about EVs. Unless you like watching your range plummet and having to charge it all of the time.

People, the electric power grid cannot grow as fast as the US electric vehicle fleet. This is the ultimate issue. Unless there is a huge boost in the numbers of NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS (which are zero carbon emitting, but generate nuclear waste via spent fuel rods), NONE of the federal government standards are going to become reality. None! We not only lack a robust vehicle charger infrastructure, we also lack a rapidly scalable power grid. It's a pipe dream. 🤪🤠😵‍💫😵
