I like @Cat Lady Ballerina's strategy to ease into the work week with "bare minimum Mondays" and I tend to try to do that as well.

Great advice! My son in law will benefit from this because so much of his work is from home and large Team meetings. I shared this with him and he said he wishes he could make his bosses watch 🤣

You can make one item a priority or you can prioritize multiple items; so managers should say, "please make this one meeting a priority, " instead of "please prioritize this meeting, " if they want to be accurate and specific.

Excellent information and wonderful way to phrase it, "the tyranny of the urgent" had me high producing on adrenaline daily, while others could do the bare minimum all week! Thank you for your insights and guidance, Bruce 🤝

Oh Bruce, I loved this video!! One, it was so informative and gave me some things to think about. My work situation is a little different, but still got great tips. I am an administrative assistant at a church and so don't have a many people in the office. But, I do have people who think they can come in and just chat, which can be irritating, especially when they know better than anyone else. Secondly, you were different on this video. You sounded relaxed and more comfortable. Random question! Do you live in Clackamas County? Just some things you have mentioned before made me think that's where you were! I lived in Multnomah County for many years!!

Replay crew. My thoughts on meetings and things I’ve learned from meetings. : 1. The last minute is the most productive minute of the day. 2. Two minute mini meeting are the most productive. 3. The manager with AV experience has job security 4. If you raise your hand one more time with a non-consequential question, you are on bday cake duty this month. 5. Use a mouse jiggler at your own risk ( per Goatee recent stream )

When I asked my manager for help prioritizing many projects, he said: They're all priorities! You've got this! The take away is, be mediocre at your job. If you're good at it, you will be penalized with too much work 🤔

I don’t like project management. I like creating content in my own schedule.

@brucefromoregon 9:35 so VERY TRUE!!

One of my very favorite things when working for a large corporation is when you, as a manager, don't actually get the annual objectives pushed down from the higher ups until you have to rate your staff on those objectives! Then those staff, who may have done great work that quarter/year, end up getting poor scores bc how could they possibly meet the objectives if they didn't even know it existed?? (Not talking to you Aetna/CVS, at all!) Ohhh it makes me so mad!

I was wondering if you, or any of your other millions of loyal fans, have knowledge of any great to-do type apps (Android) that will allow me to keep an ongoing to-do list that I can prioritize & reorganized as needed, while also keeping the done list somewhere and the date that the items were finished?
If so, please share the name of the app. I've tried so many, and I haven't found any that I like yet!!
