Batch Geocoding in Snowflake with the Mapbox Native App

Показать описание
The Mapbox Snowflake native application currently supports forward and reverse geocoding using the Mapbox APIs, as well as Mapbox Enterprise Boundaries point-in-polygon lookup.
This video demonstrates geocoding using the Mapbox Snowflake native app. Geocoding converts your address data (e.g. “1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington, DC, 20500”) into geographic coordinates (-77.036519, 38.897696) which can then be used for mapping and spatial analysis.
You'll learn how to:
- Perform geocoding queries in your snowflake environment
- Parse the geocoding JSON results to extract only the information you need
- Export your geocoded data as geojson for use and visualization in third-party tools
Geocoding is used by companies for a variety of purposes, including asset tracking, supply chain and retail strategy, and analysis of demographic trends, elections, and real estate.
