I remember when Edward was Flass’s punching bag and the GCPD loony in season 1. Now, he’s Penguin’s right hand man and one of the most influential and confident people in Gotham City. Oh how I love his character development.

The thing is, Oswald could have probably appointed anyone to be the liason for this case but he specifically chose Ed and I feel like he did that half because he really does trust Ed and half because he knew that it would completely mess with the GCPD and give Ed his moment to get back at them for how they treated him.

Like they don’t see what he did to Officer Dougherty as wrong.
