For cctv at home, if the dvr has to be in a different room far away from where the router is, is there still a way to view camera remotely(outside of home) without port forwarding. I was trained to plug a wireless repeater to the dvr and use portforwarding. I'd like to know if there's another way to go about.

I have a question. When I setup my Swann DVR about 3 years ago I just plugged it in and go. I was able to see my cameras from anywhere. I recently installed a Hikvision and it require port forwarding. Why?

Very nice, simple is all going perfect en my cell I'm trying to link my computer and it says that the autonat is and old version and not supported, plus not secured when used in a home computer, what should I do to resolve my problem.

Hi Bob, I have the same menu screen but I don't know by what name should I search the manual for the same. I need to setup alarms to capture snap on movement...also what is the sensor option used for...and what are PTZ presets....please guide me to a site or manual or a video that can be of some help. I am referring to the menu in the first half of the video.

Weird, my Cobra does not have a NAT option, but it has a QR code on the box for Android or Ios apps.

I can see the cameras when I am on the same network as the dvr. When I am at work and on a different network, I am unable to see the cameras.
