Caroline Munro, born on January 16, 1949, in Windsor, Berkshire, England, is a British actress and model renowned for her roles in horror and action films of the 1970s and 1980s. Raised in a middle-class family, Munro attended a convent school, where her artistic talents began to emerge. Her striking looks caught attention early, and by her late teens, she was modeling professionally.

Munro's career took off when she won the “Face of the Year” competition for the British newspaper The Evening News in 1966. This victory led to modeling assignments, including a notable campaign for Lamb’s Navy Rum, which made her one of the most recognized faces in Britain.

Her modeling work soon opened doors to acting. Munro made her film debut with a small role in the 1967 film *Casino Royale*. She gained more significant roles in films such as *The Abominable Dr. Phibes* (1971) and its sequel, *Dr. Phibes Rises Again* (1972), starring alongside Vincent Price. Munro became known for her association with Hammer Films, a studio famous for its horror productions, appearing in *Dracula A.D. 1972* (1972) and *Captain Kronos – Vampire Hunter* (1974).

Munro's big break came with her role as Naomi in the James Bond film *The Spy Who Loved Me* (1977), where she played a glamorous but deadly henchwoman. This role solidified her reputation as a screen siren and introduced her to an international audience.

In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Munro appeared in a series of cult sci-fi and fantasy films, including *Starcrash* (1978) and *Maniac* (1980). Her performances in these films earned her a dedicated fan base, particularly in the horror and science fiction communities.

Though Munro stepped back from acting in the late 1980s, she remains an enduring figure in genre cinema, frequently attending conventions and engaging with fans. Her charm and iconic roles continue to resonate, making her a beloved figure in the realms of horror and adventure cinema.

Her eyes are extraordinary!!! I worked in an office with a very similar looking female in the 1970s, with the name Carolyn. About that time a song: "SHE DIDN'T EVEN REMEMBER MY NAME" was popular. My own Carolyn used to call me "hey you", claiming she didn't remember my name. Of course I had a massive crush on her...!!!
