Good inspiration to get back to my sorting. So far I've sorted by parts into about 30 - 12L bins. I have a huge stack of those same bins as under your table (in a few different sizes), to do a finer sort and we use them to collect pieces for the builds we're working on.

I can't fathom having to sort that big of an inventory, Mrs Bricksie did an amazing job! Also I know from experience that most of the time, it's better to have a couple of unsorted drawers, like here, rather than trying to sort absolutely everything, because at the end of the day the purpose is to be able to find stuff not to sort for the sake of sorting

Would be really good to discuss your organization system while pulling open the trays, not just saying what's in each drawer. You clearly have a massive collection and have done a lot and learned a LOT, it would be very interesting hearing what you have learned about organizing the various things, how far you like to go, what makes things more efficient when hunting for parts etc etc etc

Here's a question for the Bricksies. Have you ever seen a new set come out and rather than buy it, try to replicate the set out of all your spare parts you have? I reckon that would be a lot of fun to see how close you can get to completing a new release set with bits and bobs you have lying around the place?
