The book of numbers came across differently to me. It sounded like they where taking a census to find out how many fighting age, able bodied men could fight in a war.
It really confused me.. 10's of thousands of men were slain in these wars. How does God ordained war NOT conflict with the Commandment, "Thou shall not kill"..?
Aren't we also commanded to Love they neighbor..? War is so immoral..!
