Feiyu Tech kindly sent me this gimbal to review and have not paid me for anything I say in this video.

That's a lot of using solution in AK4500 I think total 4 different way, the first is the handle bar(screen+joystick), second is the multifunction knob.thirdly is APP and fourth is hte remote controller!great working solution!

my is all in and all out difficult to get a nice slow in/out.
I'm considering buying a dedicated camera (low cost) video camera for the 4500 ? What do you

On camera mic; Can I put a Rode 'type' mic on the separate handle or is there some better option?

Graeme, I'm waiting for you to forget to tighten that ball head at the top of the tripod and watch the whole thing come crashing down...yikes! Thanks for the review. It would help to cover the dead zone more.
Just received the AK4500 yesterday; purchased directly from Feiyutech.

I find it's better to have just the plain 10 inch extension handle (really only need about 6 inches) on top and NOT the Hyperlink handle; too many buttons and grip area too small; use the tripod stand as the top handle.
In addition, I use a small Bluetooth remote for camera control; not the gimbal buttons.
The grip; it's silicone. Silicone bonds/stick to NOTHING. This problem does not exist on motorcycle and bicycle handlebar rubber grips; same issue. They DO NOT use silicone. Now to find one to fit the size tubing on the gimbal!

It's now 14 December 2024 and there has been NO UPDATE to the firmware since 20 August 2019! Obviously the AK4500 is a dead product (too bad, considering how they have Mickey Moused up the latest products [Scorp gimbal!])...I have found a few issues with the AK4500 firmware in only TWO DAYS since I have had the gimbal.

1) Bluetooth does NOT work. Gimbal's Bluetooth fails to pair. My LG V35 "sees" the AK4500, but will not pair, so for now, cannot use the app.
2) Gimbal loses position when moving from low position (+-2ft above floor) to high position (+-4ft above floor) when making turns.
Probably other issues...only had the gimbal for two days...
3) Firmware does NOT have motor power setting as shown in the manual. Only "automatic".

The gimbal does not "need more weight to make it balance better". I have a small Sony a6400 with a 9mm Laowa lens on my AK4500; works great. Just a matter of taking the time and having the patience to properly set the balance.

The advantage of the 10lb payload capacity is the motors have more than enough power to do the job and can handle the largest lens! Try a Sony 200-600 GM!

Still watching, but can I ask what setting you are using in your camera recording. Looks wide open but how are you always in focus? Are you in manual or have super continuous focus on your camera?

Graeme please tell me that handle mounts the 2000 I've asked feyutech but surprise no response on email or fb groups ...thst what is missing from the 2000 I'm broken on hacking a handle to adapt
