The administration only sees ideology. I considered a Colorado-z71 or zr2 but in reality quality control is serious issue. I purchased a Toyota instead. There are questions about the quality of their ev products. GM needs to start at the beginning with solid built products.

GM has become a most unpatriotic "American" corporation, run by inept incompetent greedy executives, and weighed down by unions without a clue, all of whom haven't gotten ONE thing right in the past 30-50 years. Under SAIC's influence, GM will evolve into nothing more that a conduit for imported Chinese automobiles (while gutting industries outside of China). The US Government should allow for a GM bankruptcy (not a Chapter 11 reorganization), liquidate its assets, and figure out how to reconstitute the company's industrial assets in the way that most benefits the US.

I had a 2010 Bumble bee Camaro loaded I then a couple years latter purchased a 2011 ford mustang GT plain Jain go fast machine 5.0 coyote motor It was twice the car with out the BS trills I gave the Camaro to my wife . I put both cars together for a detailing and the Camaro was lack luster in the build quality .Many un painted under areas with just primer under the hood, It seemed like just a quick we dont care feel to the whole thing .On the mustang their was way a more finished and more solid feel to the whole car less was better My wife agreed that the Mustang was a more solid car over all . Chevy GM has been this way with every thing.

Why should he "help". It would have to be a business transaction. What has GM got that Musk could possibly want? Some brands may be - and that is about it. The factories are unsuitable for EV production. GM's ICE technology is obsolete and their EV tech inferior to Tesla. The brands have some residual value - but not enough to warrant a rescue package. It would be best to let them go bust and pick up bits and pieces from the Receiver.
