I have tried various experiments in an organic system using everything imaginable other than a roller/crimper and have had very little success. It seems to me a roller/crimper and some kind of seed drill are essential. Terminating cover with a bush hog and ripping a planting furrow into it just hasn't worked on my farm. This year I'm going to do some extensive experiments using winter kill cover that I leave standing until planting time. Good video.
