Unpacking the new Self-Leveling Laser Level. We decided to take a chance on an off-brand from Amazon after researching and reading the reviews. The specific model is the Iglobalbuy Automatic Electronic Self-Leveling Rotary Rotating Red Laser Level Kit 500M W/Goggles+ Carrying Case (Rotary Laser)

Impressed by the quality of the case and it performed well in our first test in the backyard. We're going to be putting in a fence, so we will use it to level the posts. We also need to grade the yard so we can slope water away from the house. So this will be a great start for the laser level and we will learn more of the features as we use it.

How are you liking the laser so far? So the remote....you can stand off at a distance holding the grade rod/receiver and hit the remote up or down and it will slope until it beeps and finds your receiver? Is this holding up well? Might order one. What price did you pay? Thanks

Thanks for posting since I just happened upon this laser while doing an updated search on Amazon for rotary lasers. I too was looking at much more expensive (1000+) models but considering how many times I will actually it, probably not worth it. Look forward to updated video posts on its performance.

So I’m looking to buy one of these for a job I’m doing at my parents.. I’ve used topcon and DeWalt brand rotarys at work. Does this one do a solid beep when it’s dead on? Just seen you said it was dead on but it was beeping. Just curious. Also have you used it in the rain? If so how’s it work out? I live in Washington so we have a lot of that. Thanks for the video on the off brand stuff not always easy to find videos for cheaper stuff.

The thermometer at the beginning, um, wow! Gotta love that summer has finally arrived.
Sounds like you've got your work cut out for you the next few weeks. Hopefully, the forecast is right and the heatwave breaks and everything cools off.
And, the Washington CH reference at the bottom of the thermometer. That's where my sister is from. In fact, I'll be in the area next weekend for the family reunion. (we grew up in neighboring Clinton County)

Would have been better for everyone if you explained how to use it and your experience of using it rather than saying what your think it will do for you. You said you have used a similar one and you say you press two buttons and it’s ready to go. That’s incorrect. You should only press the power button and wait for the unit to self level, which takes about 20-30 seconds. The second button you pressed turns off self levelling and allows you to use the up/down, left/right buttons to set a gradient on the Y and X axis, as shown on top of the unit. If you try to use it after pressing the two buttons, the laser will not be level. The instruction manual has poor English. You need to experience with the laser to understand what all the functions do. I’m not sure the value of being able to change the rotation speed or direction.

Don’t forget to do your levelling tests by rotation the laser 180 degrees.
