I've only ever made a mashup once and it was so much work lol. Like, HOURS. And then I found out someone else had done a mashup of the same two songs 🤣 but theirs was different. But I gained a newfound respect for people that put in the effort to do this even if it doesn't wind up working out.

Interestingly, when I'm writing melodies I tend to gravitate towards 4ths and 7ths. They're unexpected while not sounding wrong, which makes it sound more epic/dramatic. I'm not great at writing music yet, but I'm working on it, and I think that's an interesting observation.
