Law enforcement officials said that an investigation is still ongoing after a mass shooting at a Lunar New Year celebration in Monterey Park, California. NBC News' Josh Lederman reports on the "preliminary" description of the shooting suspect and what investigators are still trying to find out.

California is a state with a plethora of, “common sense gun laws, ” that did not seem to help the people who were killed or wounded. A plethora of criminal laws were also violated, such as prohibitions against homicide, and felony assault. These laws were also designed to protect people, but I guess the laws did not work in this particular case.
