Question. How can I do this using a soft synth from a soft synth in my DAW. I’m taking my stuff out live and want the exact sound, but don’t want to record as played clips.

That's great, but why do all the instruction videos stop here? Like how do you save that keygrouped instrument for use in other projects? Anyone know?

not working anymore on my mpc. idk what happened :(

midi out from mpc to midi in to my synths and i set my midi channel and monitor settings and everythings running smooth till here. but when i press autosample, mpc stops sending midi to my synth and no sound is coming in. however if i play my synth while being autosampled, it does makes sound

I have been testing this with a iOS grand piano app, and it sounds better after editing the attack envelope.

Any other tips for making a grand piano program?

This is o.k. in a pinch, but for complex patches on synths like the JD800 it doesn't sound great, the real thing is always going to sound better than a multisample without all the complex envelopes, filters etc that make it what it is, still is good for simple synths, most mono synths, drum boxes etc. IMHO a sampled libary of a D50 patches sounds relatively dead and lifeless compared to a real D50 or even a good vst emulation.
