I’ve thought to myself a million times how much I wish I didn’t have to dig through the AU folder to find what I needed. Welp, I feel like an idiot now...

Really, really looking forward to seeing the search feature. Apple is behind on this great feature comparing to other DAWs.

Logic could add a search plug-in search like other DAW’s, such a game changer for loading plugins, no need for tiresome folder organising..seriously Logic is so far behind in development compared to others, when are we going to get some of these bits users have asked for years.

Damn, your videos are so incredibly helpful. I'm returning to Logic after switching to Ableton for the last 5 years, and your videos are making the transition back so much easier. Thank you sir!

Every day I see fantastic educational vids like this and wonder why anyone would take the time to give it a thumbs down. Seriously.

Hi - Great video, thanks. Did you transfer to M1/Big Sur - and could you maybe make a video on how to - and if you need to validate anything to get you plugins to work on a new mac? and did you just made a Time Machine update? Would be helpful to hear as many will transfer with the new Macs.

Logic used to scan about 50 Waves plugins EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!! It finally sorted itself when Waves upgraded plugins to V12 (my plugins were apparently in different versions). Now Logic only scans the same 7 plugins. I know the first one is Analog Lab 2 (which I thought I'd removed???) I have no idea what the other 6 are but at least it doesn't take too long to launch. I love LPX but there is always something that is a bit annoying it seems.

If anyone is not seeing their category folder, just drag down that slider on the left side where it says "top level"

Useful video, thank you, Mr. ProRules
You're right to point out the UA behaviour with plugins, it's a real pain in the ...ss, you have to uncheck all those you don't have a licence for, it's a waist of time and disk space. ☹️.
If UA guys read this: I like your products, hard & soft, I use them but please, change this.
Often, for invisible plugins, you don't have to restart the Mac, leaving your user session and come back is enough. I Usualy do that before considering any restart and it works 80% of times.

Hey Chris. So if the there’s a plugin folder in Library and a Components folder exists, why not have plugins there? You mentioned they should not be there, but didn’t explain why. Some vendors are still having plugins in that folder, or at least instruct users to move them there. Thanks.

Is there a Logic Pro system like this for INSTRUMENT plugins. I have a huge collection of instrument plugins and I can't keep track anymore of all the cool plugins. I wish logic had a way to embed videos into the NOTES section so I could see a video from YouTube on what each plugin does. But no such feature exists (other than letting you embed a LINK). I just can't keep track anymore and I can't find a plugin that will organize ALL my other plugins into a REFERENCE GUIDE. What do you suggest?

The G Grive using that shows your applications and stuff is it external cause? Are you not running that through your internal hard drive?

@whylogicprorules I enjoyed your video, but I want to clear out some Manufacturers from my list. I don't use Antares, LFO or Spitfire anymore for anything, but they're still on my list. How to delete these annoying line items? thank you in advance.
