Lo-Fi Silence | Interactive Installation by tstvvv

Показать описание
The project "Lo-Fi Silence" showcases photographic works primarily captured on the streets of Belarus, Germany, Lithuania, Italy, and Poland, reflecting my contemplation on themes of silence and solitude in urban environments.
Interaction with the video-projected canvas is made possible through a MIDI keyboard controller, allowing for the manipulation of images akin to musical notes. Each octave corresponds to a composition of 12 images. Simultaneously striking the same notes from different octaves creates the effect of multiple exposures. This approach results in unexpected photo combinations, inviting viewers to explore the installation in a playful manner.
Another dimension to the installation is added via controllable visual effects. For example, using a pitch and modulation wheel triggers a melting effect that transforms the projection surface into a canvas, facilitating the creation of an infinite number of abstract, flowing compositions.
The installation was presented at the media festival platform:#11[no budget] in Tübingen.
