You have a genuine facility with conveying the macabre. At some point I closed my eyes to let my imagination process the afterimage of the leering portrait only receive the jolting image upon opening my eyes at 11:14. My brain exclaimed even if my voice didn't.
I'm thinking that perhaps it is not the portrait that is the otherworldly presence at work but rather the voice lurking in my headphones...🍻
