Druidstone Review - A simple and fun strategy RPG

Welcome to today's Druidstone review on Quick Reviews. Druidstone is a simplified turn based strategy RPG from the makers of Legends of Grimrock. While the two games have nothing in common - that phrase seems to come up a lot! At it's core, this is a strategy RPG that has you going through various battles and leveling up characters. It's really that simple. Until it isn't. As you progress you realize there is a level of complexity to the abilities and equipment system that actually adds multiple levels to strategy and gameplay.

All in all, Druidstone was a fun and addicting experience.

This has been one of my favourite turn based strategy RPGs in a while. It's no Fire Emblem or Final Fantasy Tactics... But it's a solid little game. Short and sweet. Let me know if there are any strategy games you're looking forward to!

The game looks like a modern videogame version of the tabletop series "Descent" or their forefather "Hero Quest". Basically tabletop dungeon crawlers.

I have arthritis so only play turn-based games. I bought Druidstone on Steam and have been enjoying it. I enjoy playing but the save system leaves a lot to be desired. It deserves something better. That hasn't stopped me from playing, though.
