I'm a 25 year old combat veteran & despite what disney has done to it, *I STILL LOVE STAR WARS!* Disney can *NEVER* take away our childhoods, what star wars *TRULY* is and how important and valuable it is to each and every one of us, *because WE were THERE! WE were there* when that 17 year old farm boy gazed upon those dual sunsets, and when that same farm boy with 0 training went on to destory the death star. *WE were there* when the rebel lines broke on Hoth, *WE were there* when *OUR* dark lord redeemed himself & brought balance unto the force, *WE WERE THERE* at Tattooine when that little boy found his destiny, *WE were there* when our clone brothers stormed the red plains of Geonosis and defended the beaches of Kashyyk, *WE were there* on Mygeeto and Felucia when that dreaded order cleared command & when our clone brothers shot our jedi generals in their backs. *WE were there* when the chosen one fell to the sith, when freedom fell and a republic gave birth to an empire. *WE were there* on Coruscant and Mustafar when our hero became a villain and when light was besieged by evil darkness. *We were there* when Sidious rose and fell, *we were there* when fathers fell and sons took their place, *we were there* as heroes challenged evil and brother fell to brother and *we were there* when that brother then stood for his only son.

You may take the franchise and the profits, you may take the name and the actors, you may even take the lore, *but you'll NEVER* take our childhoods, our memories nor our love for star wars, *because we were there when it was written, and WE are Star Wars*

I'm cynical. I'm old. I totally hate what Disney has done to Star Wars. Every new Star Wars project I watch I generally don't like. I tell myself I've out grown Star Wars and it's just not for me anymore. But then....but then I hear this song....I put myself back to how I was when I was a kid. Watching Star Wars for the first time. Hearing this song...this damn song...feeling that sense of...hope? Adventure? Dude, I dunno what it is what this song makes me feel...I won't give up on Star Wars. It's in a bad spot at the moment...but I refuse to let future generations not be able to feel what I felt as a kid in the early 90s. I refuse to let the Spirit of Star Wars Die. I'm holding onto Hope...a New Hope perhaps...
