The Ulanzi CAN detach the central column, in case someone needs to know, you just unmount it, tilt the ball head, and put in the tool that you have from the bottom of the column into the hole you see on top of the ball head, and there unscrew and you get it out. It’s a very easy and simple solution, takes time but if you get the ulanzi due to size you can still do it.

Wow tripods are so well designed now. I like the compactness of the Ulanzi but the extra features of the Falcam are very cool, like the way you unscrew all of the leg fasteners at the same time.
I didn’t know they have a new way to connect the camera. So much simpler than the fussy screw. Thanks for the great comparison, Paul! 🎉

I have a Treeroot and noticed the y-center column would sometimes get stuck even unscrewed all the way. Leaving it idle over night would fix things. I'm assuming temperature changes expand/contract the metal?

On Graham Media LLC he posted about Ulaniz and said that

'I emailed them a couple more times over the past few weeks to give them another opportunity to make it right. No response, no more responses on their Facebook. I won’t be buying another item from this company just for that reason. If I contact Canon, or FujiFilm, or any of the other companies I’ve bought from, I get great customer service and timely responses. Can’t even get a response from Ulanzi'

Many other people also shared the same opinion about there customer service being very bad. its a shame as i have the Ulanzi Falcam TreeRoot Quick Lock Travel Tripod R141K-A130 in my basket right now and i want to purchase it as i havent found any other tripods as compact and also having a 3/8" - 16 thread....

Please let me know what everyone thinks i should do?
