You're simply an excellent instructor. I've taken two lessons now and they were good but yours makes more sense and are more straight forward and structured. Thank you so much 🙂👍

Best teacher ever. I learned this and have been playing so high and clear. The method is consistent. Effective teaching, not books on theory, etc... This video should be in every trumpet book and given to every new trumpet student.

You're spot on about rolling the lips in. I always told my students to play on "the hard parts" of their lips and to try not to let the air push out the "mushy" parts. (I taught beginners through advanced players for 35 years so I had to dumb it down a bit for the 9 year olds.) Keep up the good work!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! For about 7 frustrating months now I just didn’t understand what to do with my embochure. when I got to the high notes and they would be too fuzzy. This video is such a treasure to me and I can’t thank you enough.

Haven't played since graduating high school in 1959 (first chair in the band and the "charge" guy at football games) I finally picked up my horn and couldn't' make it work unril I watched this video. A little shaky but in 10 minutes I'm playing the scale! Need a little more work but it still makes the sound. Thanks for your help!

This is my tenth video on trumpet embouchure that I've gone through. I've played a bunch of woodwinds and trombone, but trumpet embouchure has been killing me! This actually helped. Thanks!

I have 2-3 things to say about this video:
1. I'm just now getting back into playing my trumpet and I had trouble with my embouchure. I was wondering why I sounded so fuzzy and ig "airy" while I was playing.
2. I want to thank you for showing a close up visual of what I was doing wrong. Looking at this visual and trying it myself on the actual mouthpiece changed the way I sounded, and I saw what I was doing wrong.
3. This was published last year on my birthday :D

This video was also extremely helpful ^^
Thank you!

I had issues arrise a few months ago from overplaying and they never went away. I had heard of this term before, but I was still able to play a really healthy range, so I never looked into it. That being said, while I am going to really have to practice this change in embouchure and almost rebuild my range ground up, already I feel much better. Thank you so much for this

I forgot to mention that putting the tongue between the lips before playing is absolutely essential. Thank you for showing that too. It's the "spit buzz" that's so crucial to a well formed powerful embouchure.

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I started playing the Cornet in 1977, and I played into 1984! I finally gave up and went onto other instruments because I couldn't play high notes and I was tired all the time! A week ago Friday, i found a Trumpet at a yard sale. They wanted $5 for it! I bought it. It's a King. I didn't want too, but I did! Then last Tuesday, the 7th of December, I saw this video up top! I watched it! OMG! OMG! You are AMAZING! THANK THANK YOU SO My tone is already Improving! But the High Notes! I don't just hit them, but I play them! Like E, F, G! I've never even tried A in my life! But yesterday, for the first time in my life I played a High A and held it twice! Do you know how beautiful that is to me! I'm 54 years old! I've been broken and living on the streets for years. I had given up on life! THANK YOU!
