Best ending song. At the ending of the episode, they always play this song and it's so beautiful and sad at the same time. For example, when Winry was trying, to shoot Scar, but couldn't and Edward made her cry, because he told her, "It's your hands, they weren't meant to kill, they were meant to give life." One of the most, best Edward and Winry moments of all time. ^_^

You can't not cry when hearing this song. Everybody has that one moment from the anime where the end scene fades into this song and it just punches you right in the feels.

I think the part that hit me the hardest from FMA was when Ed finds Al's frail body... That utter look of surprise like "everything I've fought soo hard for right in front of me". Determined not to let the chance slip away from him, knowing his brothers time is limited, and he may never get this chance again Ed darts toward Al shouting "Alphonse, come with me!" as the hands of truth emerge from Eds door to pull him back. In desperation, he shouts "AL, hurry!", and Al's body turns and looks at him. "I can't. You're not my soul. I cannot leave with you", followed by a look of soul-shattering defeat on Ed's face as he gets pulled into his gate and the door close. Al bows his head in acceptance of his fate when suddenly Ed punches through the gate as if to defy truth itself (cue guitar intro). Ed pushes himself forward, shouting "Alphonse! LOOK AT ME! I promise... someday soon, I'm coming back for you!". Now pointing at Alphonse with a metal finger that mirrors his conviction, he sternly says "Just you wait... WAIT FOR ME!". Followed by the amazing singing of Miho Fukuhara "Let it all out".

Its as if this song was chosen as an outro for this scene alone. Just the sheer level of emotional payoff conveyed in this scene is incredible. I'm not somebody who cries a lot, and I don't even think FMA is one of the best anime of all time (though its quite good), but every now and again you get these moments in anime that are just truly beautiful. This was one of them. Miho Fukuhara's beautiful music only served to enhance this scene, and frankly I don't think it would have been executed quite as well without it.
