Decked out aluminum bikes are cool imo.

Looks like a great bike. Good job Specialized.

That's a cool bike! I have an Epic Evo, but if this was available back then it would probably be my first choice :) (ride on the road most of the time) ~1kg in the frame weight is nothing on MTB ...

this is what most people picture in their heads what a mtb is like when they are just starting out. Happy to see any brands that make more reasonably priced bikes.

Should be a winner, the Chisel hart tail is an amazing value!

I have recently start to race in marathon MTB races. This should be PERFECT bike for me, cheeper than carbon, good geo, 2 water botles, much lighter than my alu trail bike which I ride on marathons...

Im just curious about longevity of seatstays considering they are made of alu and no pivots...

Really good bike though...

I've been thinking about this bike with XX AXS and Flight attendant for a month now :)

I was just lamenting to someone that there aren't many brands making full squish aluminum XC bikes. Specialized is in my brain!

I'm into it. Alloy is such a good material, and the reasonable cost that comes with buying a (even this fairly expensive alloy) frame is welcome in this economy.

This is perfect, I wish there were more options for a FS aluminium bike with short travel. Extra points for no stupid proprietary parts or through-the-headset cable routing. This is a mountain biker's mountain bike!

A bold color for frame only...but I'm still interested. I just bought an Epic Hardtail and it's great but I still crave a full sus, and I do not have $6000 to spend on a carbon FS. This looks perfect for a midwest quiver killer.

I don't get why they have to name this a Chisel. THe Chisel name has been legendary as the best hardtail alloy bike frame for years. They couldve revived the Epic FSR Alloy.

The Chisel hardtail was a great bike..light enough to race XC, but throw a 120mm fork on & it's surprisingly capable..plus being alloy, quite a bit cheaper. I see the same for this bike...would be a fun little ripper especially where a long travel bike is just overkill.

I think this is exactly what the market wants: modern geo, relatively affordable, durable, capable and still quick.

another upgrade over the hardtail chisel: UDH!

I just bought the HT Chisel a month ago 😅😭! I LOVE the ride of that bike (it's the best part and you can only feel it), but if this had been available then, I would've seriously considered it!

Flex seat stays out of aluminum? Why is nobody talking about how they will crack?

That would be a great addition to my Raaw Madonna

Considering the wagon wheels, larger tires and disc brakes compared to my 20 Year old Santa Cruz superlight. That is a really good effort at keeping the weight low. i.e. the dropper post also.

I just recently sold my 22' Chisel to get a full sus XC and honestly, i miss it and shouldn't have sold it. But with this thing out now, I'd really sell it and pick up one. Don't mind carbon but i love the old school durability of Aluminum and not having to be so careful. It would truly be my all in one bike. Adventure and race machine and wont be so scared to drop it hard if it happens. More companies need to give us the same option.
