the facts that the Sony is 20$ cheaper, can be paired with another, can answer phone calls and has better battery life makes it clear winner by a mile !!!

Sound comparison examples are really helpful. The JBL low end suffers from a really jarring phasy-sound in the low end, likely due to the rumble/reverberation from the tabletop surface. Definitely going to go with the Sony since I plan on having the speaker on a surface, same as in the demo.

I bought the xb 13 and the max volume is not very loud, I herd the xb100 is about 2 times as loud so ..I am going to buy the xb100 and give the xb13 to a friend...I use it on my bicycle and with the holes in the bottom i strap it on my bike easy 🚲👍

I'm a Sony fan, but I found this JBL is better in sound quality. JBL is crispy clear except that I like Sony's bass better. BTW, thanks for comparing these side by side with one of them dimmed. It makes it a lot easier to see which speaker is playing.

I have both of these and even the same colors you show here in your video. Yes the JBL CLIP4 is a bit louder but I enjoy the SONY SRS-XB100 because it just sounds nice and robust.

I appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos. With that said it is so important to use a specific genre when comparing any type of speakers especially high decibels. You do not need to be a classical music lover to appreciate the sound quality a speaker can produce but it is essential to play classical music when testing a speaker. The reason being when an orchestra plays the dynamic range of sound frequency is maximized. So many different instruments playing simultaneously in perfect harmony lets you really hear what a speaker can do. Thank you for your review.
