An 80 series paired with a turbo 1FZ might be the funnest 4wd ever!
Lots of work went into this build and it was all worth it.

hey mate, hectic rig! got an 80 1fz myself, 95 model and wanting to turbo as well. just wondering if the exhaust is custom or did you get it from a shop? also how much did the turbo setup cost? im looking to turbo mine but not as serious as your setup.

actually water is 14x more efficient at cooling than air to air. I do however think your water intercooler on the charge side is much too small for your set up, it will be to restrictive air flow wise and it doesnt have enough surface area to cool the air charge that your turbo is capable of. your water cooler looks like its probably good to cool air for somthing under 200 hp and Your 1fz probably exceeds that naturally aspirated.

hey bro, i have a 99 jackaroo that ive turbo'd the 3.5 petty, i was running the exact same air filter box as you but after a couple of years i started getting compressor surge (gt3076) just thought i'd let you know, the pod inside those boxes is tiny, im only running around 7psi
