Doey the doughman is essentially three people put together. His good side still dominates.

The whole idea of Doey being a mix of three different personalities is the best part of Poppy Playtime 4! I absolutely love it!

Oh my gosh, watching this one multiple times lets you see some things you might missed; Kevin used the red paint to cover up the clock so Jack thought that it was close to Kevin’s time to take control. So while he was beating up Kevin, he failed to notice the overhead light showing that he was still in control of Doey. The detail of Kevin laughing at Jack when the light changed made my jaw hit the floor. Great visual storytelling!

kevin is not a bad guy, he is just a child with a fierce and angry personality. The reason kevin attacked jack's parents was because he thought that the scientists were trying to harm him. At the same time, when safe heaven exploded, the reason kevin wanted to kill the main character was because he thought that the main character killed his friends.

At 0:58 you can see Matthew’s body in the background, tied up and beaten. You can tell it’s him because of the snapped blue hair tie that kept his hair up. This freaks me out cause it shows Kevin let Jack beat him up despite having the ability to easily overpower him just like he did with Matthew (granted it showed Matthew was tired, but still Kevin being able to take on someone taller and older than him who was able to tie him up easily early on just sends chills down my spine)

계향쓰님의 세 아이들 이야기 너무 좋아요... 케빈 상어이빨이 너무 좋다.. 물론 케빈이 마지막 죽기 전에 자신 자책하는 거 보면 천성이 악한 애는 아니라 이렇게 표현된 게 안타깝기는 하지만😢 이런 버전도 색다르고 좋아요! 언젠가 케빈 이야기도 더 풀어주시는 걸 조금이나마 희망해봅니다❤ 오늘도 영상 잘 봤어요!

Dear GH’S, I absolutely adore how you portrayed the 3 boys in Doey’s personality— especially with the colors:
Yellow for Hope and Withstanding
Orange for new Opportunities and Courage
Red for Carnage and Despair
It’s such a sad tale, yet the way it’s animated is oh SO beautiful, especially how all the characters look… Did you make up the 3 designs of the boys? If yes, WOW!! Very well done it portrays them perfectly 🥹🫶🏻🪽🪽
