Simple Toggle Clamp Upgrades.
In this video I will be upgrading my toggle clamps. Thanks to the simple upgrades the toggles clamps will become easier to use, you will be able to set up the depth of clamping much quicker and the clamping pressure and security.

Do you remember or have a link for the furniture feet. I've been looking high and low. What nut size did you use and thread, in inches please. I don't do metric LOL Thank you

if u drill a hole under the toggle clamp use an m6 or m8 threaded insert add your m6 or m8 bolt under it and adjust or cut it down in length as needed u can bin the two bolts altogether u currently use in the t track as the single bolt now acts exactly the same as your dog clamps do on your mtf workbench also if you use a much thicker peice of cls timber etc you can just use the longer length of clamp bolts to save all the faffing of changing over clamps i have also welded my m6 nuts to end of the adjustment bar so i can now just use a star knob to adjust clamping height since the modified clamp can now be turned in a circular direction it works fine hope this helps u upgrade when u can get in your new workshop all the best mate oh also t track by some 20mm x 10mm rectangle ali tubing use your table saw (or yes your router as it has carbide cutters THEY WILL CUT STEEL AND ALI BY THE WAY ) and cut the slot for the bolt width being used i use m8 bolts with my toggle clamps u may need to grind down width of the bolt head to help clear t track screw heads but this is a much cheaper option and will give u full t track length needed as tube at least in uk can be got in 2m lengths hope all this of some help to u will soon be putting vids up of my heavily modified rage 5s table saw in its enclosure pod with extended fence add on router table pod, add on sliding mitre saw pod giving combined 10 foot table length and 7 foot table width with drop down table legs and electric jack up with combined homemade dust extraction with an added gas strut assisted flip up single bed on top sounds mental but in my tiny studio flat just had to do it lol good job im a fabricator welder of over 30 years :) all the best mate

Enjoyed the Toggle clamp instructional video. I agree with you on the fiddley adjustments, nothing changed from years ago.
Theses clamps are a great way of holding work safely, quickly and repetitively for speed in a production environment.

You were right, this is a nice upgrade, it seems to make the clamps work much more efficiently. I will be building a table that utilizes both the bench dog hole system, and the micro jig dovetail clamping system. I just wish those Micro Jig dovetail clamps weren't so expensive, but maybe I will start with just 2 or 4 to see how I like them.

Good upgrade, I think that knurled thumb wheels would be a better option rather than the wing nut as you can spin them faster.

Sorry Tomasz, I hate toggle clamps & see them as an industrial revolution invention because I’ve bought them & as you’ve explained they are work for quick clamp down, the Automaxx stuff is expensive but works brilliantly & another great idea is simple threaded hold downs.
