Actual firing trials and interpretive animations of the performance of "superbainite" (nanostructured bainite) armour against terrifying threats. The projectile here is fired at a velocity of 900 m/s. Video courtesy of Paul Davies of Tata Steel.

The amour is known commercially as "Pavise SBS600P", marketed by Tata Steel as a profiled and perforated applique armour system for military vehicles. It has a high ballistic mass efficiency of up to 2.5 when incorporated as a perforated strike face in an armour system.

Meets the NATO STANAG L2, L3, L4, and EN 1522 FB7 standards.

What distinguishes "super bainite" from any other perforated armour steel? It seems to me to just be another HHS.
