Lyrics:
However you feel, whatever it takes. Whenever it's real, whatever awaits me
Whatever you need, however so slight. Whenever it's real, whenever it's right

I've been thinking long and hard about the things you said to me -- like a bitter stanger.
Now I see the long and short the middle and what's in between. I could spit on a stranger (pull me out) You're a bitter stranger (pull me out)

Whatever you feel, whatever it takes. Whenever it's real, whatever awaits me
Whatever you need, However so slight

Honey, I'm a prize and you're a catch and we're a perfect match -- like two bitter stangers Now I see the long and short of it and I can make it last.
I could spit on a stranger (pull me out) You're a bitter stranger (pull me out)
I could spit on a stranger (pull me out) You're a bitter stranger (pull me out)
I could spit on a stranger (pull me out) You're a bitter stranger (pull me out)

I see the sunshine in your eyes. I'll try the things you never try.
I'll be the one that leaves you high, high, high.

nickel creek and pavement are my 2 favorite musical groups. I'd love to hear Malkmus cover "This Side" w/ the Jicks.

It took me forever to find this among the sea of Pavement covers.

Imagine hating a cover of the song because the artists sing and play their instruments well 😂

There are some very good ideas in that catchy cover but I prefer the pavement version

Wow all you guys ragging on nickel creek for making a bad cover need to relax. It's called a cover for a reason lol. A cover is a chance for the covering artist to get creative and make some tweaks that might make the song better. Personally I enjoy this song but this is YouTube and we all know that stating your opinion is a death sentence.

Look, I give Pavement full credit for writing this song, the lyrics are phenomenal but, musically it's done much better by Nickel Creek. Anyone who disagrees can go listen to the Smiths and Joy Division all day long and just be grumpy.

My main problem is that I never heard of Nickel Creek but did some research when I heard the new guy on Prairie Home Companion. This is just a terrible radio show. It should've died when Garrison Keillor called it quits. That is my bias.

But nonetheless, this Stephen Malkmus-penned song is just so damn good. And this sounds like a fine cover version.

Wow...this is so terrible. Even if i wasnt comparing to the far superior original version by Pavement, I would have the same opinion, this is just cringey
