Turn Photo to Art with Generative Fill in Photoshop! #Shorts

For those who have struggle to keep up, here is a text version of the tutorial >

- Press Q to quick mask an image.

- Set foreground colour to dark gray, the darker it is, the more similar it would be to the image.


- Now press ALT + BACKSPACE to fill selection with foreground color (for Mac, OPTION+ DELETE)


- Press Q again to quick mask and hit OK.


Now you have transparent mask of the image and ready to generate.

Okay I get what you did (Quick Mask, Grey Fill), but please could you maybe make a video on why and how and what exactly happened?

And then I took a lighter gray brush to the mask and revealed more of the original. Worked great!

You need to say what you're doing, not just give the hotkeys, especially when you don't show what you're doing.

tho i'd say it's so impressive how good these are??? even though they still make a bunch of mistakes (they often mistaken hair as water, wrong direction of shadow, or complete proportion nonsense)

You can also just use the oil painting filter
