Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reply today to the no-confidence motion moved against his government by the Opposition parties over the Manipur violence. The no-confidence motion debate was initiated by Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi on Tuesday. For the last two days, Parliament witnessed fiery discussions by leaders from the government and Opposition over the ethnic clashes in Manipur. On Wednesday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, in his first speech in the House since he was restored as an MP, launched a scathing attack on the government, accusing it of "dividing" Manipur into two parts. He alleged that BJP's politics in the northeastern state had "murdered" India, drawing an uproar from several party members. A controversy erupted when Rahul Gandhi had given a flying kiss to the BJP members. The moment was not captured on camera, but several women MPs from the party filed a complaint with the Speaker, alleging that the Congress leader indulged in "distasteful" behaviour and "inappropriate" gesture
