Great for a new 'upgradeable' budget build - 2-3 years time put in a cheap 8, 12 or even 16 core part if the motherboard can handle it.

I still have my pc built in 2018 R5 2600 4ghz with gtx 1080. New ryzen 3s are good deal. Im thinking about getting a R5 3600 or R7 3700 to exploit full potential of my gtx 1080 because it is sometimes a bit bottlenecked by the R5 2600.
